Bronx Innovation Factory’s $4,000 award for promising Bronx hardware and advanced manufacturing businesses – Deadline Dec 1

The Bronx Innovation Factory, the only public digital fabrication space in the Bronx, is awarding $4,000 in production and space support to Bronx-based businesses in order accelerate local advanced manufacturing and hardware startups in the borough. Thanks to support from Futureworks NYC, the award will allow them to access Futureworks Shops, a network of nine production workshops across the city or other production hubs throughout New York.

The BXIF will provide access to digital fabrication facilities, startup and product-design workshops, workforce training, and business development support.

Over the next year, BXIF will pilot a digital fabrication design center from its Morris Ave offices to inform a the development of a permanent, larger, freestanding facility. BXIF will launch with laser cutters, a CNC machine, a desktop mini mill, 3D printer and hand tools, and will provide education in both English and Spanish.

To apply for up to $4,000 in production, prototyping or space credits, fill out this very quick application and Bronx Innovation Factory will get back to you soon! The deadline for application is Friday Dec 1. For general inquiries, please contact Maggie Tishman at [email protected].
