Invent-Her Pitch Night awards women entrepreneurs with three months free studio space and mentorship at Collab – Deadline Nov 17

As part of the Futureworks Shops program, production spaces across NYC have been opening up their doors to hardware startups and entrepreneurs. This month, Collab hosts Invent-Her Pitch Night, an opportunity for women-led startups to win three months of free production and office space at Collab. The Hudson Square-based hub gives innovators and creative entrepreneurs access to prototyping and digital fabrication equipment in the heart of Manhattan as well as the mentoring and space to build their ideas. Invent-Her’s open call for applications runs from now until Nov 17. Entrepreneurs and startups can be at any stage of development. Six startups from the applicant pool will be notified on Nov 20 they they are selected to pitch on Nov 28. During pitch night, the selection committee includes Forbes VP of Women’s Digital Network Christina Vuleta, Heritage Link Brands CEO Selena Cuffe, Edelman Senior VP Renee Edelman, Tech Ladies Founder Allison Esposito, SecondMuse Director of Cities Katey Metzroth, Invest & Imbibe Founder Samantha Katz, Gensler Design Strategist Susan Juvet and Collab Cofounder Adina Levin.

Collab offers 24/7 open-access space, permanent desks for entrepreneurs and private studios for companies. Members can reserve space for events, classes and seminars. Collab has been able to generate millions in revenue for itself and its members by creating products and installations for its corporate clients such as Hearst, L’Oreal, Intel and the UN.
