A/D/O is a creative space in Greenpoint, Brooklyn dedicated to exploring new boundaries in design. At its heart is the Design Academy, which offers a range of programming to professional designers, intended to provoke and invigorate their creative practice. A/D/O offers professional designers access to state-of-the-art workspace at multiple membership levels and allows members to make use of their dedicated desks, fabrication lab, project storage and connection to a network of potential collaborators, mentors and production partners.

NEW INC

MIT CoLab

The Community Innovators Lab (CoLab) is a center for planning and development within the MIT Department of Urban Studies and Planning (DUSP). CoLab supports the development and use of knowledge from excluded communities to deepen civic engagement, improve community practice, inform policy, mobilize community assets, and generate shared wealth. CoLab believes that community knowledge can drive powerful innovation and can help make markets an arena for supporting social justice. The Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator is a new initiative launched by Pratt Institute that provides designers with the resources they need to transform their ideas into successful businesses. The BF+DA brings high-potential fashion designers, industrial designers and technologists together under one roof. Located between Bed-Stuy and South Williamsburg, the Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator provides over 21,000 square feet of 21st century production and work space where NYC designers/makers grow their start-ups into viable businesses, integrating local manufacturing and an ethical supply chain into their bottom line.

Zahn Innovation Center
